The School Education Department, Telangana, on Wednesday directed all District Educational Officers (DEOs) to conduct external evaluation for Classes 6 and 9, on a pilot basis. The external assessment will be for summative assessment 1 and 2 in all 33 districts in the State. To begin with the summative assessment 1, which are scheduled to be held from October 1 till 10 in all schools, the Department proposed external evaluation for Class 9 in all the districts, and for Class 6 in nine districts of Adilabad, Bhadadri Kothagudem, Mulugu, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, and Sangareddy.
