Jus’ Onco, a cancer-care initiative focused on making oncology treatment accessible and affordable, opened its sixth centre on Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) at Kottivakkam on Monday.

The centre was inaugurated by actor and South Indian Artistes’ Association president Nasser, in the presence of Nirmala Jayashankar, Senior Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Apollo Hospitals, and Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director and Head of Oncology, Utkal Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

The centre will cater to patients from OMR and nearby areas, including Navalur, Sholinganallur, and Siruseri, with the aim of reducing the need for long or repeated travel for cancer treatment and follow-up consultations.

The centre will operate a dedicated day-care oncology model, under which patients can receive appropriate treatments without an overnight hospital stay, wherever clinically suitable.
