IT services company Mphasis has extended its collaboration with Social Security Scotland, securing a £35.4 million contract to manage and maintain the Scottish Government agency’s benefits management platform.

Under the extended contract, Mphasis will provide support and maintenance for Social Security Scotland’s core benefits case management platform, which supports the delivery of devolved social security benefits and financial assistance to around two million citizens across Scotland.

The Bengaluru-based company will focus on ensuring the platform remains stable, resilient and reliable, supporting critical functions including benefit applications, eligibility decisions and payments.

The engagement is aimed at ensuring continuity of access to benefits that are important to individuals, families and communities across Scotland, while improving the operational efficiency of the digital platform.

“Our ongoing relationship with Social Security Scotland allows us to continue to support one of the country’s most critical public service platforms,” said Ashish Devalekar, Executive Vice President and Head of Europe, Mphasis.

He said the company’s engagement aligns with its broader public-sector strategy of helping government organisations operate secure, reliable and future-ready digital services.
