Applications have opened up for obtaining temporary permits for setting up firecracker outlets in Dharmapuri in view of the upcoming Deepavali festival on November 8.
Those interested in setting up firecracker outlets are called upon to apply online at https://www.tnesevai.tn.gov.in/ for temporary permits under the Explosives Act, 1884, and Explosives Rules, 2008. The applications must reach the district administration by October 18. Those applications received after October 18 and those not applied online will be rejected.
Applications must be accompanied with a copy of identification (Aadhaar, Pan Card, Voter ID) that may also be the address proof. They must also submit a copy of the property document or lease/rental agreement if the property is a rental premise, according to the administration. The building shall be a single-storied and a concrete structure with two entries. The structure must not be made of flammable materials and the power supply infrastructure must be fully secure. The building shall also be adequately secured with fire extinguishers and unencumbered entry and exits. Collector V. Saravanan has invited applications in compliance with the safety protocols.
