Track maintenance works at the Coimbatore Junction railway yard will result in changes to six passenger and MEMU train services and the diversion of five express trains on October 13, 14, 15 and 17.
On October 13 and 17, the Shoranur–Coimbatore Passenger (56604), scheduled to leave Shoranur at 8.20 a.m., will terminate at Podanur. The Coimbatore-bound section from Podanur will not operate.
The Mettupalayam–Podanur MEMU (66615), scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 1.05 p.m., will terminate at Coimbatore Junction, with the section between Coimbatore Junction and Podanur cancelled.
On October 14 and 15, the Mettupalayam–Coimbatore MEMU (66613), scheduled to leave Mettupalayam at 10.55 a.m., will terminate at Coimbatore North, and the section from Coimbatore North to Coimbatore Junction will not operate.
The Coimbatore–Shoranur Passenger (56603) will originate from Podanur at 4.38 p.m. instead of Coimbatore Junction at 4.25 p.m. on October 13 and 17. The Podanur–Mettupalayam MEMU (66616) will originate from Coimbatore Junction at 3.45 p.m. instead of Podanur at 3.30 p.m. on the same dates.
On October 14 and 15, the Coimbatore–Mettupalayam MEMU (66614) will originate from Coimbatore North at 11.57 a.m. instead of Coimbatore Junction at 11.50 a.m.
The Bilaspur–Ernakulam Weekly Express (22815) will run via Irugur and Podanur on October 13, skipping Coimbatore Junction. It will stop at Podanur from 3.42 p.m. to 3.45 p.m.
On October 14, the Secunderabad–Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express (20629) will skip Coimbatore Junction and stop at Podanur from 9.10 a.m. to 9.15 a.m.
The Chennai Egmore–Mangalore Central Express (16159) will skip Peelamedu, Coimbatore North and Coimbatore Junction, with an alternative stop at Podanur from 9.45 a.m. to 9.50 a.m.
The Dhanbad–Podanur Amrit Bharat Express (16620) will also run via Irugur and Podanur, skipping Coimbatore Junction. The Dibrugarh–Kanniyakumari Vivek Express (22504) will follow the same diverted route and skip Coimbatore Junction, with an alternative stop at Podanur from 10.47 a.m. to 10.50 a.m.
