State BJP Legislature Party leader A. Maheshwar Reddy on Friday said that the party was gathering additional evidence on alleged irregular land transactions linked to the State government’s Bhu Bharati portal and would soon place the findings before the public.
Speaking to reporters during an informal interaction at the State party office, Mr. Reddy said that just as alleged land-related irregularities during the BRS regime had surfaced through the Dharani land records portal, similar allegations were now being raised against the present Congress government.
He criticised the government for not making public the findings of the forensic audit conducted on the Dharani portal. He also accused both the Congress and BRS of engaging in political blame games while diverting attention from the larger issue of alleged land grabbing.
The BJP leader also rejected the Congress party’s allegations of “vote theft”, maintaining that the ongoing voter list revision exercise was being carried out by the Election Commission of India and the officials concerned.
“It is inappropriate to make political allegations against the electoral system without submitting evidence-based complaints,” he said, urging political leaders to respect democratic institutions and established electoral processes.
