Karthi’s ‘Vaa Vaathiyaar,’ directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, gets a release date

Tamil star Karthi’s upcoming film Vaa Vaathiyaar, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Nalan Kumarasamy, is all set to release in theatres on December 5, the makers announced on Wednesday (October 8). Produced by KE Gnanavelraja under his Studio Green banner, the film marks Nalan’s return after four years.

Studio Green unveiled a new poster of the film to announce the news.

Billed as an action entertainer, Vaa Vaathiyaar is Karthi’s 27th film. A previously released teaser of the film showed Karthi’s character, a cop, step out of his vehicle and join the celebrations at what seems to be a festival procession.

Featuring Krithi Shetty as the female lead, the film also features Shilpa Manjunath, Rajkiran, Anand Raj and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Karunakaran, GM Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, PL Thenappan, Vidhya Borgia, Nivas Adthitan, and Madhur Mittal are also part of the cast.
