Welcoming the Google’s $10 billion investment proposal through Raiden InfoTech to establish a 1-GW hyperscale data centre cluster in Visakhapatnam, Jana Sena Party (JSP) general secretary Bolisetty Satyanarayana said that the project would generate around 1.88 lakh jobs and add ₹10,500 crore annually to the State’s GSDP, and drive infrastructure, MSME, and skill development across the region.
The State Government has extended ₹22,000 crore in incentives, including land subsidies, tax exemptions, and power discounts, while the Centre proposes a 20-year tax holiday and GST credits to support the data centre growth.
Mr. Satyanarayana justified these incentives as a ‘strategic investment’ that attracts global capital, builds India’s AI and cloud ecosystem, and yields long-term economic benefits.
