In a near-unanimous demand, the opposition parties have urged the government to hold a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 12 States.
Several parties, including the Congress, also pressed for a debate on national security in the wake of the recent Red Fort blast, at the all-party meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday (November 30, 2025), a day ahead of the winter session of Parliament. No assurance was forthcoming from the government on either issue.
