AKPL handles record 1.32 lakh MT of cargo on November 28

Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) on Wednesday announced that the port handled the highest quantity of cargo at 1,32,800 million tonnes (MT) in a day on November 28, 2025. The previous highest was 1,31,966 MT on April 20, 2025.

AKPL chief executive officer (CEO) Jagdish Patel said that the mechanised berths had helped in achieving the milestone. “The mechanised systems and team work have enhanced the operational efficiency with reduced emissions,” he said.

Highlighting another milestone, the CEO said that AKPL had also successfully handled the highest-ever monthly fertilizer cargo of 0.43 MT in November 2025 surpassing the previous record of 0.36 MT in December 2023.
