Coimbatore district has completed digitisation of nearly 80% of enumeration forms as part of the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The Booth-Level Officers (BLOs) have been digitising the forms collected back from voters through the BLOApp and updating the electoral roll with the details submitted during the door-to-door drive.

According to official data, as of Wednesday evening, December 3, the district has 32,25,198 electors, and 31,74,556 (98.43%) forms have been distributed. Of these, 25,49,527 are digitised so far.

Pollachi and Valparai have completed 100% distribution of forms. A total of 3,12,605 forms have been distributed in Mettupalayam, with 85.7% digitised; 3,35,829 forms have been distributed in Sulur, with 81.1% digitised; 4,91,258 forms have been distributed in Kavundampalayam, with 70.4% digitised; 3,45,346 forms have been distributed in Coimbatore (North), with 83.2% digitised.

A total of 3,40,147 forms have been distributed in Thondamuthur, with 74.5% digitised. In Coimbatore (South), 2,45,528 forms have been distributed, with 86.6% digitised. In Singanallur, 3,30,265 forms have been distributed, with 72.7% digitised. In Kinathukadavu, 3,46,268 forms have been distributed, with 76.3% digitised. In Pollachi, 2,29,227 forms have been distributed, with 86.4% digitised, and in Valparai, 1,98,083 forms have been distributed, with 84.8% digitised.

A senior official overseeing the SIR said the work is nearing completion in the district. The Election Commission’s decision to extend the enumeration period till December 11 has allowed BLOs to take up the work without haste and cross-check entries while uploading, the official added.
