Thirupparankundram issue a ploy to trigger religious clashes for garnering votes, says Speaker Appavu

The Thirupparankundram ‘Karthigai deepam’ issue is a ploy by the BJP, its mentor RSS and the Hindu Munnani for getting votes by triggering religious clashes, Tamil Nadu Assembly Speaker M. Appavu has said.

He told reporters that this is a protest neither by the public nor by the devotees, but by a group of 50 religious fanatics, who want to create religious turmoil in Tamil Nadu. After exploring the possibilities of creating religious clash at several places of Tamil Nadu and unsuccessfully experimenting it, the religious fanatics have chosen Thirupparankundram as their choice.
