Pennagaram MLA G.K. Mani said that the PMK’s (Dr. Ramadoss faction) State executive and general council meeting will be held under the leadership of founder S. Ramadoss in Salem on December 29.
Addressing the reporters on Thursday evening (December 18, 2025), Mr. Mani said that former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss alleged that Mani was a betrayer. “If Mr. Anbumani considers me as a hindrance for him to join with his father [Dr. Ramadoss], I am ready to resign from the MLA and party posts and also stay away from politics,” he said.
Mr. Mani was told that Mr. Anbumani had sent a disciplinary notice to him. “Mr. Anbumani has no authority to remove anyone from the party and the party founder Dr. Ramadoss’s consent is necessary for removing a cadre,” he said.
“There is a possibility that Dr. Ramadoss will make an announcement on the alliance for the 2026 elections in the upcoming executive meeting in Salem and will contest in more assembly constituencies in an alliance,” he added.
