The Crime Branch–Criminal Investigation Department (CB-CID), in collaboration with Self Made Ninja Academy and Saveetha Engineering College, organised a national-level cyber hackathon titled “Yukthi 2.0”, aimed at developing solutions to 80 complex problem statements.
As many as 2,400 participants from across the country registered and competed in the preliminary rounds held on December 13 and 14. Following this, 178 cyber experts from the top 50 teams qualified for the finals, conducted on December 19 and 20 at Saveetha Engineering College. Based on emerging cybercrime trends, 35 problem statements were shortlisted for the final round.
The top three teams, which addressed the maximum number of challenges, received cash prizes of ₹75,000, ₹50,000 and ₹25,000 respectively. The CB CID Chief and Inspector General of Police T.S.Anbu distributed prizes.
Mr. Anbu said the solutions and outcomes of Yukthi 2.0 are expected to significantly strengthen the Tamil Nadu Police’s capability to tackle complex and evolving cybercrime cases.
