The DRM Cup All-India Invitation Football Tournament, organised by the East Coast Railway Sports Association (EcoRSA-Waltair Division), concluded on a grand note at Waltair Railway Football Stadium here on Sunday (December 21).
Divisional Railway Manager and ECoRSA president Lalit Bohra was the chief guest for the closing ceremony. ADRM (Operations) K. Rama Rao, Sports Officer and Senior Divisional Finance Manager M. Haranath and general secretary N. Usha were among those who attended the valedictory function.
In the final game, the East Coast Railway team lost to Sreedhar Sporting Club 1-2, leading to the latter emerging as champions. The DRM presented trophies to the winners and runners-up, along with medals and certificates to the best performers.
Addressing a gathering, Mr. Bohra commended the ECoRSA team for organising the tournament on such a grand scale, highlighting it as a testament to teamwork and self-reliance in hosting mega events. He credited ECoRSA’s proactive efforts and support from other departments for the successful conduct of the football championship.
