Arrangements to fly body of mob attack victim to Raipur

Thrissur Collector Arjun Pandian has said that arrangements have been made to fly the body of Ram Narayan Baghel, who was killed in a mob attack at Walayar in Palakkad, to his native place in Chhattisgarh. His family members will also be flown home.

The body will be taken from Kochi to Raipur on Tuesday morning. A seven-member team, including Ram Narayan Baghel’s family members who had come to Kerala, will travel by air from Kochi to Raipur. Ambulance facilities have been arranged to transport the body and family members from Raipur to their native village in Chhattisgarh.

The Collector spent time with the bereaved family, offering words of comfort to Ram Narayan’s wife, children and brother, as well as those accompanying them. He assured them that the administration stood firmly with the family and that all necessary assistance would be extended.

The Collector presented pens to the children and encouraged them to continue their studies, conveying the administration’s concern and support. He also said that the Palakkad district administration was taking steps to ensure that the family received all eligible financial assistance at the earliest.
