CM opens two new police stations in Madurai city

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday inaugurated through videoconferencing two new police stations – Chinthamani and Madakulam — in Madurai City.

With this, Madurai City Police have got 32 police stations, including the All Women Police Stations.

While Madakulam has been created by bifurcating the S.S. Colony police station, Chinthamani has been created with the jurisdiction of Avaniyapuram and Keeraithurai police stations.

Commissioner of Police J. Loganathan, inspected both the police stations now functioning in rented buildings. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Madurai South, A.G. Inigo Thivyan, was present.
