Sarvepalli MLA Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy launched the sanitation management awareness campaign at Muthukuru and Krishnapatnam gram panchayats in SPSR Nellore district, on Tuesday.

The campaign will focus on behavioural changes among the villagers in both panchayats by keeping the surroundings clean. It includes sanitation training to the locals, providing them with sanitation bins, and collecting garbage on a daily basis.

As part of the initiative, the Adani Foundation handed over four sanitation vans to both the panchayats under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds of Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL).

On the occasion, Mr. Somireddy said, “AKPL and Adani Foundation have shown their commitment by contributing to the sanitation campaign for Muthukuru and Krishnapatnam gram panchayats by providing vehicles and starting sanitation management awareness campaign for the villagers in Public-Private-People Partnership (P-4) model.”

“The company through its CSR arm Adani Foundation is committed to promoting the community development and sanitation management among neighbouring villagers of the port. We will continue to make villagers aware of the importance of the sanitation and their responsibility towards keeping their houses and surroundings clean,” said AKPL CEO Jagdish Patel.
