Double-engine government in Andhra Pradesh lays strong foundation for a brighter 2026, says Lanka Dinakar

Chairman of Implementation of the 20-Point Programme Lanka Dinakar on Wednesday said 2025 marked a transformative year for Andhra Pradesh, with the double-engine government laying a strong foundation for a prosperous 2026.

Addressing the media at the Secretariat, Mr. Dinakar extended the New Year greetings to the people and reaffirmed commitment to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh, aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat mission.

He highlighted that investments worth ₹8.55 lakh crore were approved in 2025, generating 8.23 lakh jobs, while MoUs worth ₹13.25 lakh crore signed at the CII Summit in Visakhapatnam were expected to create over 16 lakh jobs.

Welfare schemes under the Super Six benefited farmers, women, students, and the poor through direct transfers, free LPG cylinders, and free bus travel.

Major progress was recorded in Amaravati development, construction of Polavaram project, education, healthcare, pensions, and Anna Canteens, he said.

Administrative reforms, district reorganisation, and strong central support further strengthened governance, he said. Expressing confidence, Mr. Dinakar said the government would continue with the same dedication in 2026 to achieve inclusive growth and people-centric development.

Mr. Dinakar highlighted record investments of ₹8.55 lakh crore and employment generation for over eight lakh people, with additional opportunities expected from MoUs signed at the CII Summit. Welfare schemes such as Annadata Sukhibhava, Talliki Vandanam, Deepam-2 and Stree Shakti directly benefited crores of citizens, he said.

With continued central support and administrative reforms, he expressed confidence that 2026 would further accelerate sustainable and equitable development.
