Department of Posts will open new branch post office at Thaalaarkulam near Mukkoodal in the district on Friday (January 23).
An official statement said the Department of Posts, in association with the Ministry of External Affairs, will operate Mobile Passport Seva Kendra at Thaalaarkulam on Friday to mark the inauguration of the new branch post office. Hence, advance booking of slots for availing this service like applying for new passport, passport renewal and corrections in passport etc. started on Monday (January 19).
For availing this service, Aadhaar card, voter ID card and educational certificates should be submitted. Moreover, special Aadhaar card camps are also being conducted in Thaalaarkulam and Mukkoodal areas where new Aadhaar enrolment and Aadhaar updation services are provided, the statement said.
