Free eye check up camp held at Madurai North RTO office

A free eye check up camp was held at the Regional Transport Office, Madurai North, in connection with 37th Road Safety Month.

The RTO, Karthikeyan, inaugurated the camp in which 240 persons, including auto-drivers, public who had come to get driving licence, representatives of vehicle dealers and driving school staff, tested their eye sight.

While four persons were recommended for special treatment, 14 persons were prescribed surgery. Spectacles were given to 37 persons at a concessional rate.

Mr. Karthikeyan appealed to the road users to wear helmets and not to talk over moibile phone while riding/driving. Motor Vehicle Inspector, Manickam, Personal Assistant to RTO, Vijaya Ramamoorthi, were present.
