PNG connection launched in Mararikulam as part of national drive

City gas distribution company THINK Gas has joined the National PNG Drive 2.0, a nationwide campaign steered by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to promote adoption of piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG).

As part of the initiative, the company inaugurated its first domestic PNG connection in Mararikulam in Alappuzha in the presence of P.P. Chitharanjan, MLA and senior officials of the PNGRB and THINK Gas.

The company, in a statement, said it has committed to connecting 7,500 PNG customers in three months under the PNGRB National Drive 2.0.

Mr. Chitharanjan said the launch of the first domestic PNG connection in Mararikulam is a major step forward for the residents of Alappuzha. “Clean and affordable energy is no longer a luxury but a necessity for modern living,” he said..
