The Special Roll Observer for the Special Intensive Roll (SIR) Mahabir Prasad, IRAS, Joint Secretary, inspected the roll revision claims from voters at Bargur constituency here.

The draft roll published on December 19 is open for contestation and inclusion of names up to January, 31, 2026. Following this, forms were received under various categories for correction, inclusion and deletion of names. Earlier Mr. Prasad inspected the action taken on the various applications received under Form 6, 7 and 8 in Bargur constituency.

The inspection was carried out ahead of the special camp scheduled to be held on December 25, enabling eligible voters to submit their forms. The final voter roll will be published on February 17, 2026.

Mr. Prasad also inspected the demonstration centre for the Electronic Voting Machines set up under the directions of the Election Commission of India.
