Former Congress MLA Sundaram, 72, died in Sivaganga on Monday after reportedly suffering a fall from his car. Sundaram served as the MLA for the Karaikudi constituency during two terms: 1996-2001 and 2006-2011.
He was undergoing dialysis due to kidney failure. While returning from a session, he reportedly fell while getting out of his car and died subsequently. His body has been kept for public homage at his residence in Pari Nagar, Kottaiyur, near Karaikudi.
