Over 2,000 bank employees organised a protest in Vizianagaram on Tuesday, demanding implementation of the five-day workweek agreed upon during discussions on the 12th bipartite settlement. The representatives of United Forum of Bank Unions conducted the rally from Fort junction to the State Bank of India main branch in Vizianagaram.

Speaking to media, Vizianagaram District Bank Employees Coordination Committee president B.V.Prasad, State Bank of India Officers’ Association regional secretary M. Ramesh Kumar, zonal secretary D. Mrudula AP Gramin Bank Staff Association general secretary G. Appala Naidu and others raised slogans against the bank managements for ignoring their long-pending demand.
