The police have arrested four men in connection with the brutal murder of a 22-year-old youth reported on the night of January 20 in Hamalawadi area of Station Bazaar locality in the city.
The victim was identified as Syed Mehboob, a resident of Upper Line at Hamalawadi.
He was attacked with lethal weapons and later bludgeoned to death with stones, leading to his death on the spot.
The police gave the names of the arrested Anand Jalak Sindhe, Ashitosh Jalak Sindhe, Imran Mehboob Shaikh and Sohaib Anwar Qureshi, all residents of the city.
Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s father Syed Ismail, the Station Bazaar Police registered a case and conducted swift investigation, leading to the arrest of the accused.
All the accused were produced before a court which remanded them in judicial custody.
