About 1,000 police personnel to be deployed for arudra darshan bandobust for two days

About 1,000 police personnel would be deployed on bandobust duty on January 2 and 3 at Thiru Uthirakosamangai village for Arudra darshan of Sri Mangalanathar Swamy temple, said Superintendent of Police G. Chandeesh here on Thursday.

Speaking to media persons, he said that over 100 CCTV cameras had been installed to monitor the movement of the public and safety of devotees and their belongings. Traffic diversions and alternate routes for vehicular movement had been made for the two days to prevent congestion.

Thiru Uthirakosamangai Junction Road:

Cars and two-wheelers coming via Madurai and Paramakudi and entering through the Thiru Uthirakosamangai junction road will be allowed to proceed towards the temple. Vans and buses coming from all directions to Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple shall proceed only via Puthenthal Junction Road – Vannikkudi – Kalari Junction Road.

All other vehicles travelling from Ramanathapuram to Mudukulathur, not destined for Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple shall proceed via Keelakarai, Erwadi, and Sikkal routes.

Puthenthal Junction Road:-

All vehicles, including vans and buses coming from all directions to Thiru uthirakosamangai Temple shall proceed only via Puthenthal Junction Road – Vannikkudi – Kalari Junction Road.

Thirupullani Junction Road:-

Cars and two-wheelers coming via Sayalkudi, Erwadi and Keelakarai and entering through Thirupullani Junction Road will be allowed to proceed towards the temple. Vans and buses coming from all directions to Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple shall proceed only via Puthenthal Junction Road – Vannikkudi – Kalari Junction Road.

Thiru Uthirakosamangai – Mudukulathur Junction Road:-

All vehicles coming from Mudukulathur towards Ramanathapuram, not destined for Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple, will not be permitted to pass through Thiru Uthirakosamangai. Instead, they shall proceed via Panaiyadiyenthal, Ithampadal, and ECR routes.

Ithampadal Junction Road:

Cars and two-wheelers coming via Ithampadal Junction Road towards Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple will be permitted to enter. Vans and buses coming from all directions to Thiru Uthirakosamangai Temple shall proceed only via Puthenthal Junction Road – Vannikkudi – Kalari Junction Road, he added.
