The Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee has urged the government to look into complaints in the recruitment of Sub Inspectors by the Police Department.
Addressing a joint press conference, former Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy and PCC chief and MP V. Vaithilingam said there were reports of violations in the conduct of tests for recruitment of sub inspectors. Candidates have raised doubts about the credibility of the private agency involved in the recruitment process. The government should immediately address the concerns raised by the candidates, they said.Â
The Congress has also demanded an end to the strike by ambulance drivers. The strike has caused difficulty to patients. Ambulances are not available during emergency situations due to the strike, Mr. Vaithilingam said.Â
