The Kodungaiyur police have filed a case against AIADMK office-bearer R.S. Rajesh for allegedly damaging some articles in the newly-opened park of the Chennai Corporation in Korukkupet on Tuesday.
A senior official of the city police said R.S. Rajesh, who is the AIADMK North Chennai (North) East District Secretary, and others allegedly came to the park on January 30, and posted a video on the social media claiming that the park was constructed with poor materials.
The AIADMK cadre damaged the electric lights, the newly laid lawn, and iron gates. Based on a complaint filed by the local official of the Chennai Corporation, the police have filed a case against Rajesh and are investigating.
