All India Democratic Womens’ Association (AIDWA) general secretary Mariam Dhawale inaugurated a photo exhibition highlighting the historic and continuous struggles of women from the Telangana armed peasant struggle to contemporary battles for land, dignity, and liberation, at the Sundarayya Vigyan Kendram on Saturday (January 25, 2026).
The exhibition, organised by AIDWA, is a run-up to the 14th National Congress of AIDWA, scheduled to take place at Bus Bhavan Grounds, Hyderabad, from January 25 to 28. Through rare photographs and visual narratives, the exhibition traces women’s resistance beginning with iconic figures such as Chakali Ailamma and Mallu Swarajyam to present-day women’s movements.
AIDWA Treasurer S. Punyavathy and Sudha S. inaugurated Art Exhibition Hall AND the Armed Struggles Gallery. Several national and state leaders attended the programme, including AIDWA National President P.K. Sreemathi, State president R. Aruna Jyoti, general secretary Mallu Lakshmi, among others.
