AIMSS seeks protection for rape victims

The All India Mahila Sanskritik Sangathan (AIMSS) has sought protection for rape victims in the country and questioned the bail that is granted to the perpetuators of the crime.

In a statement, the AIMSS drew attention to the controversy over the bail granted by the Delhi High Court to former MLA Kuldeep Sensagar, who is an accuse din the 2017 Unnai rape case and expressed concern that the safety of the victim was at stake.

G. Pushpa, secretary, AIMSS, Mysuru district committee, said that it has become quite common in the country to let the rape-accused to go scot-free and deny justice to the victims.

‘’We strongly demand that the victims are ensured safety and security by the government and local administration, and any violation is strictly dealt with,” she added.
