Parts of Kalyana Karnataka continued to reel under intense heat with Ainapur in Chincholi taluk of Kalaburagi district recording a maximum temperature of 44.7°C, the highest in the State, according to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).

The State-level daily heat risk bulletin issued on Thursday noted that several locations in the region, including Santpur in Aurad taluk of Bidar district, have also recorded extreme temperatures touching 44°C during the 16-hour period ended at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
