Apollo completes CAR-T therapy in five patients

Apollo Cancer Centres in Visakhapatnam has achieved a milestone in oncology by successfully completing Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy in five patients with relapsed and refractory blood cancers.

The five cases were led by Senior Medical and Haemato-Oncologist, Apollo Cancer Centres, Dr. Rakesh Reddy Boya, supported by a multidisciplinary team spanning critical care, transfusion medicine, pharmacy, nursing, and laboratory services.

Each patient underwent thorough evaluation, a rigorous preparatory protocol, and intensive post-infusion monitoring, reflecting the centres high standards of patient safety and clinical precision.
