Dindigul Collector Durgamoorthi on Monday inaugurated a district-level arts festival organised by the School Education Department.

According to a press release, over 1,300 students will participate in various competitions in different categories. Through the festival, students will get an opportunity to showcase their creativity and skills in various art forms such as singing, dancing, painting, drama, and literature. This will help the students in building qualities like self-confidence and leadership.

The arts festival encourages a healthy competitive spirit among students and supports their holistic personality development. It provides students with the opportunity to overcome fear and shyness while collaborating with their peers. Students who secure the first place in the district-level competitions will be selected to participate in the State-level competitions, the press release said.

The Collector urged the students studying in government and government-aided schools in Dindigul district to participate in the arts festival, utilize it as a platform to showcase their talents, and excel in their endeavours.
