A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death and another sustained serious injuries following a dispute over parking an autorickshaw, in Ambedkar Colony near Nayandahalli on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Guna, 28, an autorickshaw driver and a resident of Ambedkar Colony. His friend, Venu, suffered grievous injuries and was undergoing treatment, and his condition was said to be critical.
According to the police, the incident occurred following a dispute that erupted two days ago over parking the autorickshaw in front of a house. On Sunday, Guna and Venu were travelling on a motorcycle when the accused, Vinod, allegedly intercepted them.
During the confrontation, Vinod attacked both men with a knife. Guna died on the spot, while Venu was rushed to hospital.
The police said that all three men were residents of Ambedkar Colony and were known to each other. Vinod fled the scene after the attack.
The Byatarayanapura police registered a case of murder and have launched a probe to nab the accused.
