An Ayush medical camp-cum-awareness programme was held on the Salem District Combined Court premises on Friday (September 25).
Titled Neethi Nalam, it was jointly organised by the Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai, and District Legal Services Authority, Salem, on behalf of Salem District Judiciary.
Principal District Judge (PDJ) Swarnam J. Natarajan presided over the function and inaugurated the programme. The PDJ inspected the medicinal plants displayed at the exhibition organised as part of the programme.
Free health screenings, including checking of blood pressure, weight and pulse rate; Siddha, Ayurveda, Unani, homeopathy and naturopathy consultations; and health awareness sessions were held for judicial officers, court staff, advocates and advocate clerks.
Yoga and wellness demonstrations were also conducted. Over 100 people participated.
