Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and Congress leaders held protests outside the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata on Monday (December 22, 2025) against the attack on Hindus in the neighbouring country.
Their protest march was joined by many Hindu monks, which was stopped by the Kolkata Police due to safety concerns. The protesters scuffled with the police as they were barred from entering the commission. Effigies of Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser to Bangladesh interim government, were burnt on the road.
