Belagavi: Man admitted to hospital

An employee of the Regional Commissioner’s office admitted a man to the hospital after he tried to drink poison in Belagavi on Thursday (April 30). He is out of danger, doctors at the district hospital told the police.

Rudrayya Amminbavimath, 50, was upset that Regional Commissioner Janaki K.M. was not available in the office. He had applied for the conversion of two acres of agricultural land into non agricultural land in Haveri district, but local officers had been delaying it. He had come to Belagavi to complain against the Haveri Deputy Commissioner’s office, the police said.
