Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport (Bhogapuram Airport) operator GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) has issued a stern warning to job seekers against fraudulent recruitment offers circulating in the public domain.

The advisory comes in the wake of recent fake employment communications falsely using the identities of the airport, GVIAL, and the GMR Group to dupe unsuspecting candidates.

Emphasising that the organisation maintains a transparent hiring policy, GVIAL clarified that neither the GMR Group nor Vizag Airport charges any fees at any stage of the recruitment process. “No job is offered in exchange for any payment,” the advisory stated, urging candidates to steer clear of individuals, agencies, or intermediaries claiming to facilitate employment opportunities for a consideration.

The airport administration explicitly noted that it does not conduct walk-in interviews. All legitimate job openings are exclusively published through the official GMR Group careers portal with all official correspondence originating strictly from authorised GMR email domains.

Vigilance Advised

Authorities have cautioned the public to treat any recruitment offers, interview calls, or appointment letters received via unauthorized channels—such as personal phone numbers, WhatsApp, social media platforms, or unofficial email addresses—as potentially fraudulent.

Fraudsters have increasingly resorted to using forged appointment letters, fake offer documents, and unauthorised branding or logos to lend a veneer of authenticity to their scams. Job seekers have been strongly advised against transferring funds or divulging sensitive personal and financial details, including bank account numbers, OTPs, and passwords.
