BJP Andhra Pradesh State president P. V. N. Madhav on Tuesday inspected preparations for the installation of a bronze statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Amaravati. The statue will be unveiled on December 25 at Atal Ji Smruti Van in Venkata Palem as part of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee centennial celebrations.
Atal Ji Smruti Van is being developed as a museum-style memorial showcasing key milestones in Vajpayee’s life and career. Mr. Madhav said the Amaravati installation would be the first Vajpayee statue in the State and would serve as a source of inspiration for future generations, highlighting his integrity, leadership, and public service.
He said Vajpayee’s ideals should guide the youth of Andhra Pradesh in working towards a developed and prosperous State. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other national and State leaders will attend the ceremony.
BJP A.P. general secretary Nagotu Ramesh Naidu said the celebrations follow the Atal Modi Supervision Yatra, which began from Dharmavaram on December 10 and has received an enthusiastic public response across the State.
