
A total of 32 boat drivers and support staff from various water tourism destinations across Telangana takng part in CPR training at Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Lodge Keys No. 297, a primary wing of Freemasonry, in association with GVK Green Health Services and with the support of the Telangana Tourism department, conducted a CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training programme for boat drivers at Hussain Sagar Lake. A total of 32 boat drivers and support staff from various water tourism destinations across Telangana participated in the training.
The participants represented Hussain Sagar, Durgam Cheruvu, Saroornagar Lake, Somasila, Egalapenta, Nagarjuna Sagar, Laknavaram, Koilsagar, Lower Manair Dam in Karimnagar, Kotilingala and Raigir, among other locations.
The training was conducted by Dr. Raja Bharath, senior clinical instructor, Dr. Seem Sunil, emergency physician, and Ms. Deepa, clinical instructor, from GVK Green Health Services.Â
Participants received hands-on instruction using advanced CPR mannequins, enabling them to practise life-saving techniques under expert supervision. The programme covered recognising sudden cardiac arrest and other emergencies, the chain of survival, hands-only CPR for adults, children and infants, rescue breathing techniques, the use of an AED, management of choking, recovery position and practical skill assessments using advanced mannequins.
