Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) demanded an investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into the alleged business interests, assets and financial transactions of family members of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, former chairman of the Telangana Mineral Development Corporation (TGMDC) and official spokesperson of BRS Manne Krishank alleged that the Chief Minister was misusing his office to promote business interests connected to his family members. Raising suspicion over the Chief Minister’s repeated participation in the inauguration of private healthcare establishments, he alleged links between a pharma company, a corporate hospital, an education institution holding company and individuals connected to the Chief Minister’s family.
Demanding a thorough investigation into the ownership structures, shareholdings, investments and financial transactions of those companies, the BRS leader said he was not making mere allegations but placing (sending) documents, company records and financial details before the investigating agencies and people.
He said investigating agencies should examine the source of funds, beneficial ownership, shareholding patterns, related-party transactions and movement of money across the companies concerned.
