Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy has transferred to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Central Crime Branch, the investigation into the murder of 46-year-old Arif Hussain in Ullal on March 27.
Arif Hussain alias Tablet Arif, who is an accused in a few criminal cases, was hacked to death by assailants on the Thokkottu Flyover. When the victim was on his way to the Dhakke on his motorcycle around 3.30 a.m., the assailants coming in a car and hit the motorcycle. They assaulted him with sharp weapons. Arif fell on the flyover road and died.
