Chakravarthy takes charge as Polavaram district first SP

IPS officer K. Chakravarthy took charge as the first Superintendent of Police of the Polavaram district on Wednesday.

Earlier this year on January 1, the Polavaram district was carved out of Alluri Sitarama Raju district, spreading its jurisdiction of the Integrated Tribal Development Agency Chintoor and Rampachodavaram. Headquartered at Rampachodavaram, the district is sharing borders with the States of Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Odisha. Mr. Chakravarthy is an IPS officer of the 2020 batch of the Andhra Pradesh cadre.
