The St. Broseph Army, a citizen-led volunteer network in Bengaluru, gave a makeover to the bus stop near HSR Layout’s 14th Main, carrying out a clean-up and makeover of the area.
Around 15 volunteers removed litter, swept the pavement, cleared the dirt that had collected around the site and cleaned the structure of the bus stop. The team created a series of murals behind and around the stop, turning a dull corner into a lively public space.
Activities across city planned
As part of the organisation’s #FixIndiaMovement, St Broseph Army plans to conduct bus stop rejuvenation activities across Bengaluru.

Tejas Hegde, Koramangala chapter leader of the St Broseph Army, said, “Bus stops are used by thousands of people every week. Yet, they are often ignored. Our aim was to show that with a few committed volunteers and a few hours of work, even small public spaces can be made cleaner, safer and more welcoming for everyone.”
Plogging drive
The Indian Ploggers Army, along with ESAF Foundation, completed the 100th plogging drive of 2025 at Shalini Ground in Jayanagar where eight sacks of garbage weighing more than 55 kg were cleared.

“The playground had become a yellow spot where garbage, including empty liquor bottles, tetra packs, paper cups, condoms and other things, was discarded. It was stinking. However, we didn’t give up. A few onlookers also joined us, and we spent more than 90 minutes removing the garbage,” said Nagaraj G., founder of the Indian Ploggers Army.
“We request all citizens to join hands with the GBA, and we demand strict action against those who litter children’s playgrounds and parks,” he added.
