New buildings for various libraries in some of the central districts were declared open by Chief Minister M.K.Stalin through video conference from Chennai on Monday.
In Tiruchi district, he declared open an annexe building for District Central Library and new buildings for the branch libraries at Adavathur, Ramji Nagar, and Biskhandarkovil and rural libraries in Devimangalam, Poonampalayam, Krishnasamudirram, Ellakudi, Pannapatti and Sevalpatti.
District Collector V. Saravanan, District Library Officer R. Saravanakumar and other officials were present.
In Perambalur, two additional buildings for the branch libraries at Poolampadi and Lebbaikudikadu were declared open.
