CM made Danam make u-turn, approach SC against disqualification: BRS

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has made disqualified MLA Danam Nagender make a U-turn on his decision not to move the Supreme Court against the High Court order out of fear of defeat in the byelection.

Official spokesperson of the party and MLC Dasoju Sravan said on Sunday that immediately after the High Court judgment disqualifying him as an MLA for defection from BRS to Congress, Mr. Nagender had stated publicly that he would not approach the Supreme Court and instead face the people’s court (byelection). Within a couple of days, he changed his decision due to pressure from the Chief Minister and made up his mind to appeal against the High Court verdict.
