Collector Ranjeet Singh on Monday inaugurated the Co-optex Deepavali special discount sale at its Flower Bazaar Showroom here.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ranjeet Singh said specially designed silk sarees for Deepavali had been sourced from Kancheepuram, Arani, Thanjavur, Thirubhuvanam and other places. Moreover, cotton sarees, bedsheets, pillow covers, dhoti, lungi, towels, cotton shirts and curtains were also on sale.
The showroom had been set a sales target of ₹50 lakh for this festival season. Hence, the public should support Co-optex and weavers affiliated to it, Mr. Ranjeet Singh said.
He also appealed to the people to start their savings account with Co-optex. Under the scheme, Co-optex would pay the 12th instalment after members made prompt payments of the preceding instalments, and the savings account holders would be able to buy Co-optex products with 30% discount.
