The national-level test for undergraduate engineering admissions in over 150 engineering colleges in Karnataka, through the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) and Uni-GAUGE, will be held on May 9.
The test also allows candidates for admissions to 30 other private, self-funded and deemed universities across the country.
Intended for candidates seeking admission to B.E./B. Tech programmes, the computer-based test will be conducted in over 200 centres and about 1.40 lakh candidates would take the test.
According to its leaders, S. Kumar and Ponnaluri Muralidhar, who addressed the media here on Tuesday, COMEDK launched the KARES Innovation Hubs to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by offering hands-on and skill-based training in 2022. Nine such innovation hubs operate across in Karnataka, with three in Bengaluru.
These hubs offer programmes in emerging and future-ready domains such as innovation & entrepreneurial thinking, prototyping & product development, Internet of Things (IoT) – smart connected systems, data science & applied machine learning, robotics & intelligent systems, applied AI & Agentic systems.
