HYDERABAD
Bhuvanagiri Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy accused former minister T. Harish Rao of misleading the residents of Madhu Park Ridge apartment complex near the Musi river and attempting to shift the blame onto the government.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, the MP dismissed the allegations made by Mr. Harish Rao. “He is spreading lies about the government every day,” Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
The MP also alleged that the builders of Madhu Park Ridge apartment violated rules by securing permissions with only a 9-metre buffer for Musi river, whereas a 30-metre buffer is mandatory under a Government Order (GO). He said that the previous government granted arbitrary permissions in Hyderabad.
“Apartment residents are now suffering because of the previous BRS government’s misdeeds. People bought apartments unknowingly. It is not the people’s fault,” he said and assured that the Congress government would provide compensation to the displaced residents and take legal action against the builders and officials responsible for the violations.
Highlighting the government’s development agenda, he said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is committed to transforming Hyderabad through initiatives such as Metro Phase-2, Musi Rejuvenation Project, RRR, and Future City project.
